Looking for a job? California Homepro is seeing fantastic results from their Canvassing division and is quickly becoming a career resource for local entry level job applicants.
The worst feeling for any business owner and of course their sales personnel is not to have enough qualified leads. No matter how great the product or service, no leads means no sales and eventually the possibility of going out of business unless that scenario changes quickly! California Homepro is a leading Northern California home improvement company that is experiencing rapid growth. Starting with a handful of employees several years ago, they have outgrown their office space and are moving into a 24,000 square foot building in Concord, California to accommodate this growth.
One of the ways California Homepro has developed a reliable lead source is through giving free information about Bay Area home improvement directly to local home owners right at their front door. California Homepro has developed an excellent canvass team that is passionate about informing local home owners about dealing with repairs and home improvement before problems get out of hand.
The company pays for all the appropriate community based licenses and fees to be able to canvass. Each canvasser goes through a rigorous training program so they all well versed in exterior coating, window and door replacement, roof replacement, patio covers, driveway replacement, decorative walls, outdoor living and pavers for the Bay Area home. Every canvass team member is dressed professionally with California Homepro shirts, hats, vests and I.D. badges. They have organized schedules and are led by a professional, experienced and motivated team leader.
At California Homepro, canvass employees are given respect, they are paid fairly, and they have opportunity for advancement. This has translated into loyalty and enthusiasm all across the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
Once all the components of a good canvassing program are in place, the average canvasser develops 10 leads per week with a goal of a 70% confirmation rate, a 60% presentation rate, and a 40% closing rate. These numbers will produce enough gross revenues to compensate the total investment of a Canvassing Team Leader, a Van, and high enough earnings to attract the best people for canvassing. At California Homepro canvassers typically earn $400 to $500 for a 20hr week, and Team Leaders earn $45k and more annually.

These days it’s easy to focus on what isn’t working. There seems to be a lot of negativity in the air; from local news to the national scene. Many companies don’t care about workers and employees don’t feel secure with their employers. This leads to turnover, higher unemployment and lost revenue for many companies.
This couldn’t be further from the truth at California Homepro Inc. Despite slow growth for their industry this year, the Concord based Home Improvement Company has grown by leaps and bounds and just moved into a 25,000 square foot building in downtown Concord, CA.
The company generously rewards its employees for their efforts, offers advancement opportunities for every worker and celebrates a strong financial position in the marketplace. Every month their employees receive tickets to professional Baseball, Basketball and Soccer or Football events.
And, a big reason for the company’s success can be directly attributed to the Senior Leadership team at California Homepro, Inc. At California Homepro, Inc., employees stay focused on Giving, thanks to a Leadership team that keeps their mission focused on Honesty, Integrity and Communication.
It can also be readily seen through California Home Pro’s Corporate Community of Giving as they remain deeply committed to making an important difference in the communities throughout the greater San Francisco Bay area.
By fostering lasting relationships with nonprofit organizations and providing community support, the company is able to champion a number of important causes while simultaneously promoting a strong culture of caring from within.
California Homepro, Inc. is one of the sponsors of the September 8, 2012 Miles for Smiles Race at Heather Farms Park: 301 North San Carlos Drive, Walnut Creek, CA California starting at 8am. The event is hosted by the Mount Diablo Dental Society and raises funds for the Shelter of Contra Costa County and the Monument Crisis Center.
If you’d like more information about the event visit California Homepro’s website at http://www.californiahomepro.com/appreciation/ or call Steven Hunt at 925-521-1220 for more information.
If you love Greek food, you really can’t miss with this festival which is in September each year under the redwood trees at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Concord, Ca. Enjoy Moussaka, pastitsio, gyros, lamb, loukoumathes, stuffed eggplant, dolmas, and more.
This year they even added a wine tasting booth where they were pouring several Greek wines. The wine tasting offers a sample of 2 whites, and 3 reds for $15. The whites were a bit dryer as each wine got progressively sweeter. The wines were very nice and the staff entertaining.
It’s a great place to go with the whole family to enjoy some great food, check out the various booths and listen to authentic Greek music in a wonderful setting. You might even feel transported to Greece!
A Great Place to Work
The San Jose Earthquakes have named Montgomery “Gummy” Carey (Son of California Homepro’s Office Manager- Katie Carey) the Odwalla Player of the Month for September 2012.
Montgomery has been playing soccer since he was three years old. He has had multiple seasons as the leading scorer for Mountain House Flash Soccer, playing at both striker and midfielder. Montgomery was selected as one of the team captains for his U-6 outdoor, U-8 outdoor and U-8 tournament teams.
And, for a good reason businesses are starting to fight back.

My business has received several 5 stars reviews on multiple websites over the years. I have 1 negative review on the yelp website and six 5 STAR REVIEWS that have been filtered…. YELP is destroying all my hard work as a FAMILY OWNED business for the last 5 years by filtering out the 6 five star reviews we have received!! So unfair and, and SO part of the reason small businesses are disappearing in our economy….thanks YELP for being part of BIG BUSINESS ie the 1% and screwing the small business owners trying to survive in this economy!!

I am a small business owner of a Yogurt Shop in Salt Lake City Utah. I am shocked over the control that companies such as Yelp have. Think about it…They are using our name on their sites, for their financial benefit. I can’t believe it’s allowed as a business practice. I have many, many happy customers. But it seems as though it’s the one’s (and there are only a few), who don’t get their way and end up posting the comments. I have asked Yelp, urban spoon, and Google maps to please remove one horrible comment that was very long and destructive from one individual. But they keep emailing me back rejection letters indicating that they can leave the posts up. I even told them to completely remove my business from their site. They again rejected. Because of this. I have a very low rating due to one individual. I would love to get any information from anybody out there who knows of a recent class action suit against any of the above mentioned companies. LET’S PUT A STOP TO THIS KIND OF PRACTICE!! It’s hard enough to be a small business in the good o’le USA!

It’s interesting that you can’t filter malicious negative reviews but have NO PROBLEM filtering the nice reviews people post. You claim that you filter both negative and positive. its a lie. i have seen no evidence of ANY negative reviews being filtered. It’s because Yelp would lose leverage with its businesses. A customer will not purchase ads on Yelp so filtering negative reviews only hurts the end user. Filtering the positive reviews forces a business to evaluate and possible become blackmailed by YELP to purchase advertising in exchange for less filtered positive reviews. ALL in ALL-Yelp is a scam. It too will fade….anyone remember Friendster??? Enough said.

FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION PHONE NUMBER 1-877-382-4357
I am a small business owner who has run afoul of a competitor. The competing business has bombarded me (using YELP) with out and out fabrications, libelous accusations, and outrageous drivel via what I can only assume to be one writer with several pseudonyms or one (very unethical) ‘on-line presence’ service with a stable of (fiction) writers masquerading as unhappy clients. I have written to yelp on many occasions to explain. You have a better chance of finding God. I haven’t found a phone # you can call (unless, of course, you want to buy advertising), and all my letters have elicited only (the same, word for word), boilerplate answers generated by some robot. I finally got so angry i called the FTC (federal trade commission), at 877-382-4357. They filed a complaint, and said if they see a pattern (meaning a lot of angry businesspeople filing complaints) they will go after them (yelp). The gentleman i spoke with seemed particularly interested in the “extortion for advertising” angle. So what are you waiting for??? If yelp has wronged you as it has me, CALL NOW AND FILE A COMPLAINT!!! ONCE AGAIN: FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION PHONE NUMBER IS 877-382-4357
If you own a business and feel Yelp is misrepresenting your company by filtering your positive reviews from actual customers while Yelp shows false negative reviews from non-customers and competitors like they have with our company, there is a site you can go to and where you can tell the real story… Click here

Texcote™ Textured Elastomeric Coatings: Elastomeric coating is a 100% acrylic resin polymer for use on residential and commercial exteriors. It is formulated for masonry, wood and stucco surfaces and resists cracking and water damage. Available in smooth and textured…
One of the newest types of coatings is formulated for use on one the oldest types of building materials. You may already be familiar with elastomeric, but it’s much more than “just another paint.” Elastomeric & Texcote™ textured coatings are specifically intended for application on masonry substrates, wood and stucco. Special steps must be taken to ensure their optimum performance.
Texcote™ Textured and Behr elastomeric coatings are relatively new to the American architectural coatings industry, having only been introduced in the United States in the mid-1980s. They were first developed after World War II, to help rehabilitate damaged masonry buildings. They address a common problem of masonry and stucco construction – water penetrable cracks. These unsightly cracks can make even the soundest construction job appear flawed, and may also eventually lead to the deterioration of the structural integrity of the building.
There are over 16,000 painting contractors in California so please choose wisely. We recommend that you chose California Homepro because we are one of the few factory direct applicators of Texcote in Northern California.
